History was made as Donald Lutz had his first hit in the majors.
LF Donald Lutz (Cincinnati Reds)
The legend of Donald Lutz continues to grow as he got his first hit in the majors on Sunday against the Cubs. He also scored his first run and had his first RBI in the same game. Since his call up he’s seen some playing time, most as a pinch hitter, two times as a starter in left field. He’s got a very balanced slash line with .313/.313/.313 which I find very interesting. The magic of numbers. He also struck out only once since being called up, another very encouraging fact. And he already stole two bases.
C Kai Gronauer (Las Vegas 51′s, AAA)
Gronauer doesn’t get much playing time in AAA, but when he does, he tends to hit. In his only game last week (05/08 against Round Rock) he went 2-4 with a double, making sure his average still sits at .500. Right now he sits at .385/.429/.538.
OF Max Kepler-Rosicky (Cedar Rapids Kernels, Single-A)
I found some info on Max Kepler in this article about prospects in the Twins system. Seems he’s injured right now (left elbow strain) and, when he’s healthy again, will report to Single-A Cedar Rapids.
